How the procedure works
Under local anaesthetic and mild sedation, grafts are extracted from the donor area at the back and sides of the head. Tiny incisions are made across the bald area and each follicular unit is carefully transplanted into place.
During the procedure you simply relax — many of our clients watch a film or listen to music. You will feel minimal discomfort throughout.
Your timeline
- 3–4 months — transplanted follicles begin producing new hair
- 6–9 months — visible, growing density
- 9–12 months — the full cosmetic result
About hair transplant
Each treatment is individual, but in general the procedure is completed in 6–8 hours, depending on the number of follicular units being transplanted.
Most patients feel minimal discomfort. We use mild sedatives and a local anaesthetic, so you can relax throughout.
Follicles typically enter a resting phase after transplant and begin producing new hair at around three to four months. You'll normally see a cosmetic difference within nine to twelve months.
